Life on the terraces.
The rooftop bar is a must-have of any new hotel or venue in Havana. Blessed with a warm climate and world-famous rum, in Havana there is no greater statement of luxury than sipping mojitos from the rafters until the early hours.
This stylish trend was originally born from necessity; the Spanish colonial development of the city has not allowed much space for gardens, thus outdoor life is either conducted in the streets, or from the rooftops.
Today, the trend is perpetuated by the three most luxurious hotels on the block – the Parque Central, the Manzana Kempinski, and the Saratoga. And they set the bar high.
